Turnkey Contracting Manager
AG Installations Ltd. is an established company with more than twenty years of experience and employing 100 employees. We specialize in electrical and mechanical installations of exceptional quality for residential, commercial and industrial needs.
Our firm is swiftly expanding and as part of this expansion, a vacancy has arisen in our Company for the post of a Turnkey Contracting Manager.
The post is a permanent position, and we are looking for the following requirements:
Main Responsibilities
The Employee shall carry out the following minimum, non-exhaustive, basic duties, amongst others:
i. Overlook and lead all the projects and conduct both on-site and office work coordination and implementation.
ii. Co-ordinate design and build meetings with company personnel and subcontractors
iii. Prepare a productive program of work with profitable margins.
iv. Prepare and co-ordinate weekly technical project management meetings.
v. Overlook all the turnkey and finishings operations.
vi. Monitor tendering processes and liaise with the tendering department if and when needed, ordering, communicating and negotiating materials with local suppliers if
necessary.
vii. Assist when needed in preparing bills targeted to monthly work in progress.
viii. Manage the WIP (works in progress) every end of month, whilst checking that the Managers/ Quantity Surveyors’ input translates as sales per month for each site and verifying sales as per program of works per site whilst reviewing all documentation prior to sending it out to the Accounts Department for the official internal accounting processes.
ix. Participate fully in the recruitment process to assess the technical skills of candidates in relation to their respective field of work, together with the administration.
x. Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other workers in the same project to determine the specifications of the project and ensure the smooth flow of the operations.
xi. Choose reliable subcontractors and delegate their responsibilities.
xii. Be responsible to address and correct swiftly any delays, emergencies, and problems that can arise.
xiii. Comply with all health and safety matters and building regulations as well as other legal requirements and seeing that all parties under his/her responsibility are complying with all H&S requirements.
xiv. Reporting project progress and budget to the Director whilst constantly communicating with the client to inform him/her about progress or any variations.
xv. Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
xvi. Obtain required permits and licenses from appropriate authorities, if and when necessary, in due time.
xvii. To be responsible for maintaining an adequate standard of dress and personal appearance compatible with the working environment in which he/she carries out duties and with the post he occupies.
The Employee shall devote his/her full best efforts, working time and attention to the business of the Employer and to such duties as are consistent with his/her position and shall moreover act in a diligent and prudent manner, safeguard the Employer’s interests and refrain from acting in a manner or making statements which could or may prejudice the business, interests or reputation of the Employer, whether during or after working hours including outside of the workplace.
In so doing the Employee shall use all proper means in his/her power to maintain, protect, improve and extend the business, reputation and interests of the Employer (and of any Group Company of the Employer) and therefore shall (i) Act in utmost good faith as a fiduciary of the Employer; (ii) Comply with all lawful orders, directions and policies given by the Employer from time to time and supply any information that may be requested by the Employer at any time; (iii) Keep himself informed about, respect and adhere to any internal regulations and general policies of the Employer as amended from time to time and (iv) Meet such targets and/or key performance indicators as the Employer may from time to time reasonably require; and (v) Comply with applicable laws.
Reporting Line
The Employee shall report to and take instructions from the Directors of the Employer Company and/or any person/s as may be designated by the Employer from time to time. Where under this Agreement express authorization is required from ‘the Employer’ then authorization must, unless otherwise specified, be sought and provided by the Board of Directors of the Employer’s company in accordance with the M & A’s thereof.
Requirements
Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in Turnkey project-based management and hands-on experience.
Strong MS Office skills and sound knowledge of estimating software programs is considered as an asset.
